- American Concrete Institute (ACI) Committee 305 defines hot weather as any combination of high ambient temperature, high concrete temperature, low relative humidity, wind speed and solar radiation.
- ACI Committee 306 defines cold weather as "when air temperature has fallen to, or is expected to fall below 40°F (4°C) during the protection period."
